Privacy

This is a short statement about this website, scancde.com. It does not cover the ScanCDE product, which is covered by the agreement we make with each client.

What this website collects

Nothing about you as a visitor, apart from what you choose to send us on the Community page (below). The site sets no cookies, has no analytics or advertising tools, and loads nothing from other companies' servers.

Like any web server, ours keeps a short-lived technical log of requests (the address of the visitor, the page and the time) for security and fault-finding. It is not used for anything else.

Email you send us

If you email us, for example to ask for a trial, we use what you tell us only to reply and to arrange what you asked for. We do not sell it or share it for marketing. Tell us if you want it deleted and we will delete it.

The trial and demonstration form

If you ask for a trial or a demonstration on the home page, we keep your name, your work email, your organisation and whatever else you choose to tell us (the systems you use, how many projects, a message). We use it only to reply and to arrange what you asked for, and we send you one confirmation email. We do not sell it or share it for marketing. Your visit is slowed down against spam with a scrambled form of your internet address, which we cannot turn back into your address. Write to us and we will delete it.

The Community page

If you share an idea, suggestion, feedback or a bug report, we keep what you write, your name, your email and your organisation if you give one. We use them to review what you sent, reply to you and thank you. Your email address is never shown publicly. If we approve your idea, suggestion or feedback, it appears on the board with your first name and your organisation (if given) and nothing else. A bug report is never shown publicly.

When you vote, we count one vote per visitor using a scrambled form of your internet address, so the same person cannot vote twice. We cannot turn it back into your address. Your browser remembers which ideas you voted for, on your own device only. The same scrambled form is used to slow down spam. We do not sell any of this or share it for marketing. Write to us and we will delete what you sent.
